Malaria in Venezuela

An increase in the number of malaria cases in Venezuela has been reported. A total of 88 000 cases have been reported in the southern state of Bolivar in 2015. This is more than double the number of cases recorded in the same time period of 2014.
The majority of cases (88.48%) have been reported from the municipality of Sifontes in Bolivar state.
Advice for Travellers
