Cholera in India

An outbreak of cholera has been reported in the town of Rajpipla, Narmada district, Gujarat state in the west of India. The health authoritiy of Narmada has declared all villages (50) within a 6 mile radius of Rajpipla as affected by the outbreak.
Advice for Travellers
Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population and cannot ensure safe drinking water can be immunised against cholera. A high standard of food, water and personal hygiene should also be maintained.
