Dengue Fever in Pakistan

Dengue fever cases are being reported in the city of Karachi, Sindh province in the south of Pakistan. Nine new cases were reported on 14 July 2012, bring the total number of suspected cases to 105, of those 103 have been confirmed as dengue virus infections.

Travellers should be aware of the risk of dengue fever and be advised to use personal protection methods to avoid mosquito bites.
