Dengue Fever in Dominican Republic

A total of 381 cases of dengue fever have been recorded in Dominican Republic. Dengue virus is actively circulating in the provinces of Puerto Plata, Monsenor Nouel, Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Espaillat, Valverde and Duarte.

Advice for Travellers

Travellers should be aware of the risk of dengue fever and be advised to use personal protection methods to avoid mosquito bites.
